Cheap Night Out
It has been said that 40 is the 30 and 30 is the new 20. While in Portland if you're poor then Tuesday is the new Saturday. Every Tues. this winter the Port City Music Hall is hosting a new music series called Two. Two awesome local bands for $2. Best of all $2 drafts on all microbrews and Guinness(Cheap beer that's not PBR!!!!. The shows start at 8:00 so you have time to get home and get enough sleep for work the next day. And it's a Tues. which means you'll be able to avoid all the obnoxious frat boys and drunken sluts that take over Portland clubs on the weekends. Go to Port City Music Hall for the line-ups.

Free Newspapers
Sunday, February 7, 2010
Most people get their news on the internet these days. But if you're old fashioned and still like to read the newspaper then here's a tip to save 75 cents. The Press Herald gives away free copies outside their building on Congress St. I don't know how long they will continue doing this, but they are there for the time being. Get 'em early though, they don't last long.
